St Julian’s
The front, as it’s locally known, stretches from St Julian’s – Malta’s entertainment capital - to well into it’s neighbouring town of Sliema. Like Sliema, St Julian’s is a new town with a picturesque bay and the island’s only skyscraper. It is home to a clutch of upscale hotels including the Hilton to other hotels bearing the most reorganised of international nomenclatures. Many of these hotels that line its waterfront and a selection of more modest accommodations, including holiday apartments, found in its side streets. The town is also popular with expatriates who snap up the chic sea view apartments as second homes.
There are two casinos here, a cinema complex, trendy pubs, discotheques and a smorgasbord of restaurants ranging from the small family restaurant offering local food to the refined restaurants offering an exquisite international cuisine.
St Julian’s also includes two major entertainment areas – Paceville, an entertainment haven for the young and the young-at-heart where bars, restaurants and places of entertainment abound and Bay Street, a centre for high quality shopping, good food and family entertainment.
